Well, I got a reply back from the White House on my letter writing activity. At least I know my letter got there… 
Blah, wound up not going to Tahoe this weekend because I didn’t feel like driving alone. So, instead I took the opportunity to cook up one of the three pumpkins that I grew in the back yard. I made two loaves of pumpkin bread, and a pot of pumpkin soup. Oh, and Albertson’s had a buy-one, get-one-free sale on whole chicken, so I cooked up two lemon garlic chickens too. It rained most of the day Saturday here, which means it probably snowed in the mountains, so I’m sure I missed some good riding. Oh well. Maybe the sun will dry things out enough to go roller blade later today.
Driving is a sport best left to the east coast trained professionals. As a matter of safety, all California drivers should just stay home.

Tuesday night, President Bush made discriminatory comments against LGBT American families. In his State of the Union Address, the President all but endorsed efforts to write discrimination into our Constitution. Amending the Constitution to discriminate against same-sex couples and our families is just plain wrong – and we need to make sure that our elected officials know it.
Fax and email your Senators and Representatives today! Tell them it is not okay to use the U.S. Constitution to discriminate against any American!
